'Aaja Aaja..main hoon pyaar tera'..
'Dum Maro dum...'..
'Kabhi kabhi mere dil mein..'
Surprised? These were the Golden Words of Indian Cinema and so was the theme of our farewell as we made our dear seniors relive their happy days at L.S.R.
As the evening unfolded, we saw a lot of performances by the first and second years on songs like 'Zoobi Doobi' and 'O Haseena Zulfon waali'. The third years did shake a leg too!
The Math Department saw an unusual mix of masti and mazaa as we played games and gave out special awards - a unique title for everyone. On public demand, Dootika sang a song, Satakshi mimiced of child voices and we played a special game with Rushil..and lost, as usual!
All of us got candid with out seniors as we shared their little secrets and habits that were famous among their peer group.
Bhavneet ma'am & Ranjana ma'am were not present, but sent their love and blessings in the form of a little note read out by Monika Ma'am.
At last, the evening came to an end. 11th March 2010, amongst great fun and laughter, we bid our seniors a loving goodbye.
It's now time for them to spread their wings and soar..
fly high..

The most awaited freshers finally took place on the 20th of august with the theme “PROM NIGHT”. The 1st years looked beautiful and were extremely enthusiastic about dressing up for the party!
It was thoroughly enjoyed by all the students as well as the faculty members. We began with a dazzling dance performance given by the 2nd years and the 'fuchchas' introducing them.
Then was a song sung by our very talented 1st years
followed by a spoof done by the 2nd years. It was enjoyed by all and received a lot of appreciation.
A few freshers were selected for the personality
contest and were asked some very innovative questions on the basis of which some were selected for the next round. Finally we got our Miss 'Best Dressed' and Miss 'Fresher'.
Of our extremely enthusiastic faculty members, Mahesh Sir sang a beautiful song followed by our HOD Monica Ma'am.
Towards the end food was served which everyone enjoyed and relished.

While all that we get to hear are stereotypical comments from people about how DU is meant for the laid back and fun loving people, the true picture can well be witnessed by those bearing the brunt.Especially Bsc(Hon) Mathematics has turned into one challenging course after being revised over a net time span of 19 years.
While all that we get to hear are stereotypical comments from people about how DU is meant for the laid back and fun loving people, the true picture can well be witnessed by those bearing the brunt.Especially Bsc(Hon) Mathematics has turned into one challenging course after being revised over a net time span of 19 years.
Though the previous year's course wasn't any easier, the course which was revised last year is a combination of both BA and BSc Honours under Mathematics.
Apart from becoming an extensive application oriented challenging course, it has its own share of pie to offer when it comes to enhanced career prospects.
The new course enables one to explore a wider set of career options along with a better knowledge of the subject.
So cheers to all those who have taken up this course.:)
